Santiago Gonzalez Hernandez is part of Ramboll’s sustainability and emerging technologies consulting team in North America. He has extensive expertise in early stage decarbonization technology due diligence and lifecycle assessment (LCA) and sustainable services. His areas of focus include sustainable rare earth elements refining, carbon capture utilization and sequestration (CCUS), hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), emerging technology feasibility review, and techno economic assessments (TEA). Santiago supports key clients such as venture capital funds, major airlines, and novel startup technology developers. He maintains expertise in relevant government regulations for emerging technologies such as the IRA incentive tax credits. Prior to joining Ramboll, Santiago worked as an R&D engineer and sustainability engineer at the CO2 conversion company Air Company, which participated in NYSERDA programs, leading work on development of renewable fuels technology, incorporating green hydrogen and CO2 conversion for optimization of e-fuel technology.
